On their winter schedule, they stop every 20 minutes between 8:03 a.m. and 6:03 p.m. During the summer they come upon request. Visitor badges must be visible and worn at all times.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>UCHealth does not restrict, limit, or otherwise deny visitation privileges based on race, creed, color, religion, gender, national origin or ancestry, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information or veteran status.<\/p>\n<p>Patients may have an unlimited number of visitors per day, but no more than 2 visitors\/support people at a time. Inpatients under the age of 18 must have one parent or guardian to spend the night with them.<\/p>\n<p><u>Special Considerations during Viral Season<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you are sick or are coughing or sneezing and need to visit a hospital or your doctor\u2019s office, please wear a mask.<\/li>\n<li>During respiratory virus season (November through May), children under the age of 12 are not allowed to visit these high-risk areas: Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and our Special Care Nursery. There are exceptions to this rule for those visiting patients who may be at the end of life.<\/li>\n<li>During respiratory virus season (November through May), children of any age are allowed in outpatient clinic areas. Patients are encouraged to bring only healthy children. Children must always be accompanied by an adult.<\/li>\n<li>During non-respiratory virus season, children of any age are allowed to visit. Children are considered visitors and must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is not the patient. They may not be left alone with the patient or in any hospital area at any time. Children are not allowed to stay overnight.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Department Specific Guidelines<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Surgery or procedure:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Patients who are having surgery\/procedure may have 2 support people at a time.<\/li>\n<li>A support person for any procedure needs to be of legal age to drive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Birth Center:<\/p>\n<p>Labor and Delivery\/Postpartum:<\/p>\n<p>This is a special time for families, and we promote having your closest people available for these cherished lifetime moments.\u00a0 These are guidelines and if you have any specific requests, please speak with your primary nurse and we will work to accommodate as best we can.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>During delivery, laboring patients are allowed 4 support people at a time. Please consider the number of visitors at night to support optimal rest for healing and bonding with your new baby.<\/li>\n<li>Postpartum patients are allowed to have up to 4 visitors at a time. One (adult) support person may spend the night.<\/li>\n<li>During flu season, healthy siblings of any age may visit. Children under 12 who are not siblings are not allowed during flu season.<\/li>\n<li>For the privacy of all patients, visitors are asked to stay in the patient room or the waiting area and not gather in the hallway.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Special Care Nursery:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To minimize sickness, two people are allowed to visit newborns in the Special Care Nursery.<\/li>\n<li>Additional family and friends can view the newborn through the window of the Special Care Nursery.
