UCHealth Orthopedics – Pueblo West <\/strong>is the most convenient place for Pueblo and Southern Colorado patients to undergo outpatient and short-stay elective orthopedic surgeries.<\/p>\n

The 58,000 square-foot building is located adjacent to the UCHealth Parkview Pueblo West Hospital building.<\/p>\n

Orthopedic surgeons have a Mako Robot<\/a> as part of their toolset, which enables patients to have a more predictable surgical experience. The Mako system guides surgeons’ cuts within the pre-defined area and helps prevent the surgeon from moving outside of the planned boundaries.<\/p>\n

The new state-of-the-art hospital opened in September 2022, and features six high-tech operating suites with interactive projection screens that provide live high-definition video feeds from the operating room so surgery can be observed for training or educational purposes.<\/p>\n

There is also an on-site lab and a new retail pharmacy. Expanded outpatient rehabilitation space has been provided for physical and occupational therapy.<\/p>\n

Outside, the hospital has a separate drive-up patient pick-up area and a publicly accessible quarter-mile walking track with exercise stations, trees, benches and a shady pergola.<\/p>\n
