(Nov. 9, 2018)<\/strong> \u2013 UCHealth already has filled about half of the 500 new staff positions being created at UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital for when it opens in Spring 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The first hires included all director positions and several manager and supervisor positions, said Diane Cookson, president and CEO of the hospital. There are approximately 240 positions left to fill, she added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith construction of the hospital on track, it is truly exciting to be busy building a team and culture that will have an incredible impact on patients and this community for decades to come,\u201d Cookson said. \u201cWe are looking for individuals who want to make sure patients and their families always have excellent health care experiences and are strongly passionate about helping them get back to living extraordinary lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>All job opportunities can be found on UCHealth\u2019s careers page at <a href=\"https:\/\/careers.uchealth.org\">https:\/\/careers.uchealth.org<\/a> and interested candidates may apply directly at that site. At this time, available positions include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Registered nurses for the following: Labor and delivery, emergency, neonatal intensive care, intensive care, lactation, medical\/surgical, post-anesthesia care and operating room<\/li>\n<li>Medical lab scientists<\/li>\n<li>Computed tomography technicians<\/li>\n<li>MRI technicians<\/li>\n<li>Radiography technicians<\/li>\n<li>Interventional technologists<\/li>\n<li>Diagnostic medical sonographers<\/li>\n<li>Obstetrical technicians<\/li>\n<li>Certified nursing assistants<\/li>\n<li>Ancillary health technicians<\/li>\n<li>Respiratory therapists<\/li>\n<li>Facilities maintenance managers and specialists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Construction of the new UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital near Lucent Boulevard and C-470, which created 675 construction jobs alone, is expected to continue throughout 2018. UCHealth officials anticipate the campus, which will include both\u00a0Highlands Ranch\u00a0Hospital and Medical Center, will open with 87 inpatient beds and room to expand.<\/p>\n<p>Spanning approximately 340,000 square feet, the hospital will feature a birth center including C-section operating rooms and Level III NICU, 18-bed intensive care unit, operating rooms, a Level III trauma center and emergency department, advanced cardiac services and complete imaging capabilities including 3D mammography and PET\/CT. The new 85,000-square-foot adjacent UCHealth\u00a0Highlands Ranch\u00a0Medical Center will house a two-story cancer center with advanced oncology services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Highlands Ranch, Colo.
