UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center\u2019s<\/a> emergency department<\/a> will undergo a major renovation beginning next year. Once complete, the department will offer 14 private treatment rooms, improved access and a more efficient workflow for physicians and staff.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur patients always come first, especially in emergency and trauma situations,\u201d said Dr. David Wilkinson<\/a>, an emergency medicine physician at YVMC and medical director of the department. \u201cWe want to ensure they continue to receive the very best care possible whether they\u2019re a local resident or a visitor to the Yampa Valley.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis renovation will bring our emergency facilities on par with the tremendous level of care delivered by our dedicated physicians and staff,\u201d said Soniya Fidler, president of YVMC. \u201cThe patient experience looks different now compared to when the current emergency department was built in 1999. It\u2019s important to continually reinvest in our facilities to ensure they\u2019re meeting the needs and expectations of our patients.\u201d<\/p>\n
