The organizations\u2019 goal is to improve the overall health of residents and visitors in Steamboat.<\/p>\n<p>Guests and employees of Steamboat Resort will receive educational information such as altitude sickness prevention tips, the importance of hydration and muscle recovery techniques after a day of skiing or snowboarding. On the mountain, guests and employees will have access to comfort stations that include sunscreen, water and tissues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA big part of enjoying time out on the mountain is understanding how to take care of yourself in the elements,\u201d said Katie Brown, vice president of sales and marketing for Steamboat Ski &amp; Resort Corporation. \u201cTeaming up with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uchealth.org\/locations\/uchealth-yampa-valley-medical-center\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center<\/a> brings an additional level of education and awareness to our guests and staff, helping them get the most out of their skiing and snowboarding.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center is committed to the health and wellness of not only our local community, but those who visit as well,\u201d said Soniya Fidler, president of the hospital. \u201cWe\u2019re excited to join forces to encourage everyone to live healthy, extraordinary lives both on and off the slopes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the coming years, UCHealth will work to bring other programs to the resort to help promote health and wellness for everyone in the region, including initiatives that focus on men\u2019s and women\u2019s health as well as potential sports clinics for youth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSteamboat Resort consistently ranks as one of the best resorts in the country, and we\u2019re thrilled to partner with them,\u201d said Manny Rodriguez, chief marketing, experience and customer officer with UCHealth. \u201cBy working with Steamboat Resort, we\u2019re able to encourage residents and visitors to keep their health a priority while enjoying all that Steamboat Resort has to offer.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Steamboat Resort is teaming up with UCHealth to provide a new focus on health and wellness to the countless visitors it receives each year.
