UCHealth photo.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Two new orthopedic spine surgery experts will perform a wide variety of spine surgeries including decompression and decompression and fusion procedures for spine arthritis, spine deformity correction and management of spine infections and tumors. They use a variety of intraoperative techniques including surgical navigation and minimally invasive procedures. The UCHealth Spine Center is based at UCHealth Memorial Hospital North.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uchealth.org\/provider\/christina-goldstein-md\/\">Dr. Christina Goldstein<\/a> will serve as the medical director and is an associate professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uchealth.org\/provider\/christopher-gallus-do\/\">Dr. Christopher Gallus<\/a> is a surgeon and assistant professor at the CU School of Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Goldstein comes to UCHealth from the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute, part of University of Missouri Health Care. Since 2014, she served as an attending surgeon and assistant professor at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. She also served as director of spine research. She completed her bachelor\u2019s and medical degrees at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She completed an orthopedic surgery residency training program at McMaster University and clinical fellowships in complex adult spine surgery at the University of Calgary and the University of Toronto.<\/p>\n<p>Gallus comes to UCHealth from Centura Health where he served as a spine surgeon at Castle Rock Adventist Hospital and for Centennial-based Precision Spine Center. He earned a bachelor\u2019s degree from the University of Pittsburgh, a master\u2019s degree in medical science from Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
