The stent restores the flow of blood or other fluids, depending on where it\u2019s placed. In emergencies, stents are used to keep coronary arteries open. In addition to blood vessels and arteries, stints are used in bile ducts, lungs, and in ureters that carry urine from kidneys to the bladder.<\/p>\n<p>Dexur ranked Memorial Hospital Central in the top 100 in the U.S. for shortest length of stay and shortest stay in the intensive care unit and in the top 50 for lowest readmissions. Other UCHealth hospitals included in the top rankings include UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital and UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies.
