The 60,000-square-foot facility also includes 22 inpatient beds, an emergency room, operating rooms, an intensive care unit and a full radiology suite, and will create approximately 100 new jobs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to provide area residents with access to the highest level of health care in the state \u2014 but right in their community,\u201d said Derek Rushing, CEO of UCHealth Broomfield and Grandview hospitals. \u201cThese will be full-service hospitals able to handle people\u2019s needs right here, closer to where they live and work. But we also are part of the larger UCHealth network, which will provide patients and their families a seamless experience if they do find themselves needing an even higher level of specialized care.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hiring for the more than 100 jobs in Broomfield started in March, and UCHealth is still recruiting for registered nurses for the hospital\u2019s medical\/surgical unit, intensive care unit and emergency department. Perioperatives also are needed for the post-anesthesia care unit and operating room. While all employees will be working for the UCHealth-Adeptus Health partnership, clinical staff are hired by and are employees of UCHealth, while managers are employees of Adeptus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve had a huge interest in the Broomfield Hospital and have a strong candidate pool both internally and externally,\u201d Toedtman said.<\/p>\n<p>As Broomfield hiring winds down, hiring for Grandview Hospital is expected to ramp up, he said. Employment opportunities will be posted internally at UCHealth before becoming available to the public. Open positions will also be posted on the <a href=\"https:\/\/careers.uchealth.org\/\">UCHealth careers page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Along with supplying Colorado with new health care employment opportunities, UCHealth also has added to the state\u2019s construction job growth.<\/p>\n<p>Broomfield construction has supported 300 construction jobs. Grandview construction has also employed 300 workers. In addition, UCHealth\u2019s Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont \u2014 a 190,000-square-foot, 50-plus-bed hospital expected to open in 2017 \u2014 is supporting 500 construction jobs.
