UCHealth is pleased to announce Lonnie Cramer has been appointed as president and CEO of UCHealth Memorial Hospital. Cramer also will oversee Pikes Peak Regional Hospital, Grandview Hospital and many of UCHealth\u2019s clinics in the region.<\/p>\n

\u201cLonnie brings a wealth of health care experience to UCHealth\u2019s hospitals in the Pikes Peak region,\u201d said Elizabeth B. Concordia, president and CEO of UCHealth. \u201cBut beyond that, he brings a great desire to be involved in the community, a commitment to providing outstanding patient care and dedication to serving veterans, active-duty service members and their families.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cramer has more than 30 years of health care operations experience, most recently as president of UCHealth\u2019s Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont, Broomfield Hospital, and multiple outpatient care locations. Prior to joining UCHealth in 2019, he served as the chief operating officer for Penrose St. Francis Health Services in Colorado Springs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am truly excited to lead UCHealth\u2019s hospitals in El Paso and Teller counties and to build on the many successes and advancements in patient care that have occurred in the decade since Memorial Hospital joined UCHealth,\u201d Cramer said. \u201cIt\u2019s also wonderful to be back in Colorado Springs and once again call it home. I look forward to renewing past relationships and building new ones in the communities UCHealth serves.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to his roles in Colorado, Cramer served as chief operating officer of MDiagnostics Inc. in Metairie, Louisiana, specializing in outpatient imaging with five centers in multiple states; he also served as director of diagnostic imaging services at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Cramer began his health care career in the U.S. Army, serving eight years as a radiology noncommissioned officer, and he remains passionate about providing care for veterans and active-duty service members. He holds a master\u2019s degree in clinical practice management and a bachelor\u2019s degree in health care administration. Lonnie and his wife, Janet, have been married for more than 30 years and have three children and two grandchildren.<\/p>\n

“I would also like to express my gratitude for the collaboration and support I\u2019ve had from community organizations, providers and staff in the Longmont and Broomfield areas as we have supported patients and improved the health of our communities,\u201d said Cramer. \u201cI look forward to collaborating with those in El Paso and Teller counties as, together, we continue to expand services and offer residents the tools they need to stay healthy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cramer has served as interim CEO of Memorial Hospital for the past two months; he replaces Joel Yuhas, who served as Memorial\u2019s CEO for six years before accepting a position in December 2022 with UPMC in Pennsylvania. Under Yuhas\u2019 leadership, UCHealth Memorial Central was designated a Level I Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center while expanding care options for patients.<\/p>\n
