Foto: Getty Images.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Nadie quiere tener que ir a la farmacia en plena noche a comprar analg\u00e9sicos, jarabe para la tos o pastillas para la alergia que usted o alg\u00fan familiar puedan necesitar de repente.<\/p>\n<p>Como no siempre se pueden evitar los imprevistos, lo mejor es estar preparado para esos peque\u00f1os problemas de salud y emergencias menores que quiz\u00e1s no requieran una visita al m\u00e9dico de inmediato, pero que les permitir\u00e1n a usted y a sus familiares estar seguros y c\u00f3modos.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;Es recomendable tener a mano medicamentos de venta libre y otros suministros de emergencia que todos necesitamos en alg\u00fan momento, para poder utilizarlos cuando los necesitemos&#8221;, dijo Melissa Monchelli, farmac\u00e9utica cl\u00ednica en <a id=\"\" style=\"background-color: #ffffff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uchealth.org\/locations\/uchealth-pharmacy-yampa-valley-medical-center\/\">la farmacia para pacientes ambulatorios en UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien algunos art\u00edculos del botiqu\u00edn, como vendas y analg\u00e9sicos de venta libre, son \u00fatiles durante todo el a\u00f1o, el cambio de estaciones puede requerir alivio para las alergias en primavera y para la tos y los resfriados en invierno.<\/p>\n<p>Mantener el botiqu\u00edn bien surtido facilita afrontar los inevitables d\u00edas de enfermedad. Recuerde que el descanso y la hidrataci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n ayudan a fortalecer las defensas del cuerpo.<\/p>\n<p>Para quienes necesiten renovar su botiqu\u00edn, o para quienes no tengan uno, aqu\u00ed les ofrecemos una buena gu\u00eda para empezar.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Analg\u00e9sicos<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Para dolores musculares, articulares y corporales, puede considerar ibuprofeno o naproxeno.<\/li>\n<li>Para reducir la fiebre y aliviar el dolor de cabeza, puede optar por paracetamol (puede alternarlo con ibuprofeno).<\/li>\n<li>Para aliviar los c\u00f3licos menstruales, puede probar Midol o Pamprin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>S\u00edntomas de gripe<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Los medicamentos antigripales de venta libre vienen en forma l\u00edquida, en pastillas y en polvo, y pueden aliviar temporalmente los dolores corporales y de cabeza. Monchelli sugiere consultar con un farmac\u00e9utico sobre sus s\u00edntomas para que le ayude a elegir el m\u00e1s adecuado y contactar a su m\u00e9dico si los s\u00edntomas empeoran.<\/li>\n<li>Adem\u00e1s, es recomendable tener a mano algunas pruebas de COVID-19, ya que a veces esta enfermedad presenta s\u00edntomas similares a los de la gripe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cTanto si tiene COVID-19 como gripe, si no se siente bien, qu\u00e9dese en casa y trate de minimizar el contacto con el exterior para no contagiar a los dem\u00e1s\u201d, dijo Monchelli.<div class=\"su-pullquote su-pullquote-align-right\">\u00bfNecesita algo de comida reconfortante cuando se siente mal? <a id=\"https:\/\/www.uchealth.org\/today\/es-sopas-reconfortantes-para-la-temporada-de-gripe\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uchealth.org\/today\/es-sopas-reconfortantes-para-la-temporada-de-gripe\/\">Pruebe estas recetas de sopa reconfortantes<\/a>.<\/div>\n<h2><strong>Alergias y problemas relacionados con sinusitis\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Para las alergias estacionales, pruebe un antihistam\u00ednico como Zyrtec, Allegra o Claritin, as\u00ed como un aerosol nasal y gotas para los ojos para la alergia.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Irritaciones en la piel<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Monchelli recomienda tener Benadryl y crema de hidrocortisona para contrarrestar las picaduras de abejas, picaduras de insectos o reacciones a mascotas, as\u00ed como las erupciones cut\u00e1neas por exposici\u00f3n a plantas u otros elementos externos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Malestares estomacales<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>La indigesti\u00f3n, la acidez y el malestar estomacal suelen aliviarse con productos como Tums o Pepcid.<\/li>\n<li>Para problemas gastrointestinales o n\u00e1useas, se puede usar Pepto-Bismol, aunque no se recomienda para ni\u00f1os.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Tos y resfriados<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>La tos se puede tratar con productos de venta libre que contengan dextrometorfano (DM), aunque, de nuevo, no se recomienda su uso en ni\u00f1os.<\/li>\n<li>Un humidificador.<\/li>\n<li>Pastillas para la tos con mentol.<\/li>\n<li>Si siente que le va a doler la garganta, hacer g\u00e1rgaras con agua salada puede ayudar, mientras que un aerosol nasal salino puede ser beneficioso para la congesti\u00f3n y otros s\u00edntomas del resfriado.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cCuando se trata de tos y resfriado, es necesario controlar los s\u00edntomas\u201d, dijo Monchelli. \u201cLos farmac\u00e9uticos pueden ser de gran ayuda para orientarle sobre los mejores productos para aliviar los s\u00edntomas\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Primeros auxilios menores<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Vendajes.
