My care philosophy stems from patient interaction and education. I want patients to feel like they have the knowledge and understanding about their diagnosis before they leave the clinic. I want patients to feel empowered when deciding the treatment and follow up plan that works best for them. It is also important to me that patients feel heard and respected during their visit, as this can have a positive impact on their overall health and well-being.
I chose to become a Physician Assistant because I wanted to combine my interests from my time as an undergraduate: helping others, biology and medicine. I also enjoy the problem-solving aspect of medicine in which one must identify a disease and come up with treatment options for a patient. It makes me feel great when I can come up with a solution for a patient that gives them hope and relief. I chose Urgent Care as I enjoy the fast paced setting and not knowing what is coming next. Outside of work, my hobbies include hiking, traveling, fishing and baking.
