As a mother, wife, daughter, friend and working professional, I understand the many complex roles each woman plays in her life, the difficulty of balancing life’s demands and the challenge of prioritizing personal wellness. My goal as a physician is to empower my patients with the knowledge and tools necessary to make the best possible decisions for their own health and achieve their wellness goals. I believe optimal health care depends on a partnership between each patient and her provider based on trust, honesty and mutual respect. I always start by listening to my patients so I can understand their concerns, needs and objectives. My osteopathic training instilled in me a philosophy of medicine that respects the intricate relationship between mind, body and spirit. Knowing my patient’s story allows me to treat her as a whole person, not just a constellation of symptoms. Equipped with this information, I can help guide her through her medical journey with compassion and understanding, whether that be a wellness exam, illness, pregnancy, surgery, complex medical condition or the natural progression of life. I love the connections I get to make with my patients and am honored and humbled by the confidence they place in me. I am passionate about providing exceptional care to my patients because every woman deserves quality health care.

I am thrilled to return to my home state of Colorado after many years away. While I’ve enjoyed the experience of living in other places, Colorado has always felt most like home to me.After graduating from high school in Durango, I initially attended Wellesley College but completed my undergraduate degree in psychology at Rice University. I went on to obtain my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas, before completing my obstetrics and gynecology residency training at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. Prior to joining UCHealth, I spent 11 years in private practice in Fort Worth, Texas. I also served as adjunct faculty at the UNT Health Science Center and Texas Christian University medical schools and as a core faculty member for the Baylor Scott & White All Saints Hospital OB/GYN residency program. I’ve always enjoyed teaching and mentoring aspiring physicians. My husband loves to tell the story of how I was even teaching as I delivered my first child!Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with family. I’ve been married to my 8th grade crush for over 20 years. We have two very spirited children and one ridiculously sweet goldendoodle. When I’m not working or chauffeuring children from place to place, I enjoy family movie nights, binging a good TV series, sewing, yoga, playing what little piano I remember from lessons long ago, jigsaw puzzles, reading, listening to audiobooks and trying to keep my succulent collection alive. My husband and I decided to return to Colorado because we want our children to have the experience of growing up near the mountains where we can make nature a more central part of our everyday lives. We look forward to taking advantage of all the amazing outdoor experiences Northern Colorado has to offer!

I was drawn to obstetrics and gynecology because I appreciate the variety of care I get to provide and the ability to care for women through all of the phases of their lives. Educating women to promote wellness and prevent disease has always been a priority for me. I enjoy adolescent gynecology, which offers a unique opportunity to educate young women and help them learn about their bodies while empowering them to take an active role in their reproductive health. I’m passionate about family planning and helping women find the best contraceptive option to suit their needs. I love guiding women through their pregnancies and the childbirth process. I am also experienced in a variety of surgical techniques for managing gynecologic problems, including minimally invasive options like laparoscopy and robotic surgery. Finally, I find satisfaction in helping ease the transition of women through menopause and into their golden years. My patients amaze and inspire me every day, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a part of their lives.
