Erika received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire and received her B.S. in Kinesiology from Chapman University in California. Erika has many years of experience working with kids of all ages, disabilities, and conditions. During her graduate program, she completed an internship at Primary Children’s Hospital- outpatient pediatric rehab in Riverton, Utah where she worked with children with torticollis, spina bifida, complex regional pain syndrome, developmental delay, sports injuries, toe walking, cancer, cerebral palsy, POTS, autism, down syndrome, and other genetic conditions. As a pediatric physical therapist, Erika especially has a passion for working with infants with developmental delay and torticollis. Erika understands the importance of working together with each family in creating goals and treatment plans that will best assist their child in reaching their maximum potential. She follows evidence based practice and also enjoys incorporating aquatic therapy into her treatment.
Erika has also worked as a Vail Resorts children’s ski instructor for 3-6 year olds since 2016 and has her level 1 certification in ski and snowboard instructing. Along with pediatrics, Erika has a passion for volunteering with aging adults through Rock Steady Boxing and A Matter of Balance. Outside of work, Erika likes to hike with her border collie, read, do puzzles, ski, snowboard, paddle board, and cheer on the US women’s national soccer team.
