Jenny Allard, MD

Optimal health requires an effective relationship between patients and their physicians. I believe that as an internal medicine physician, my responsibility in that relationship is to help guide patients to make well informed decisions about their health and treatment options. To be able to achieve that goal I feel it’s important to remain up to date on medical education, to work to pass that knowledge on to patients as effectively as possible and to be able to listen to their concerns and work with them toward a common goal of optimal health. I also believe that it’s important to make access to care as easy as possible.

Internal Medicine allows me the opportunity to help people with a wide array of medical concerns that include all the medical specialties. Every appointment is as unique as every patient: From simple to complicated, from life threatening to benign, from young adult to elderly and everything in-between. As an outpatient physician I also enjoy being able to develop ongoing relationships with my patients. Internal Medicine has been a fascinating, challenging and highly rewarding career, and I love it.

Beyond caring for patients, I love vegetable gardening (especially tomatoes!) even with all the challenges the Westside has to offer. My husband and I enjoy cooking, especially when we can incorporate food we’ve produced ourselves. I also love to hike, bike, run and camp with my husband, step-kids and dogs. I’m a Colorado Springs native and I returned here after my training to be able to spend time with my family and continue to enjoy Colorado Springs’ great outdoor opportunities.
