I believe that effective patient care begins with listening, trust and a genuine understanding of each patient as a whole person. I enjoy building lasting relationships with patients and families by creating a welcoming environment where their concerns, values, and goals are heard and respected. I believe in partnering with patients to develop individualized, evidence-based care plans that address not only acute illness, but also prevention, chronic disease, mental health and the social factors that influence well-being. One of the aspects of medicine that most attracted me to the field is the opportunity for lifelong learning, both across the breadth of medical disciplines and through the unique experiences and perspectives of my patients.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy staying active and spending as much time outdoors as possible. I love playing soccer, running, camping, hiking and finding new ways to enjoy the outdoors with my family. More than anything, though, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our four boys.
