As a nurse practitioner, I strive to exemplify the values of therapeutic nursing while attending to the medical needs of my patients. I see my role as being a team player and collaborative partner to my physician colleagues to promote and provide the best evidence – based care to our patients. I believe that honesty, empathy, attentive listening and compassion can contribute to patients’ healing. After more than 40 years of caring for oncology patients, I have felt fatigue, but never “burned out.” I continue to feel enthusiastic and committed to help my patients receive the best care throughout their illness trajectories.
My husband is an Infectious Diseases physician, retired from US Army and from private practice. I have a daughter, a son and 3 grandsons.
We also have two dogs.
