Dr. Pater has received extensive training in reconstructive and arthroscopic techniques for the treatment of problems of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Dr. Pater specializes in surgery and rehabilitation of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Conditions commonly treated include arthritis-related conditions, fractures, repair of both traumatic and sports-related injuries, nerve compression and nerve injury, tendonitis and tendon injury, rheumatoid arthritis, Dupuytren’s Disease, and other painful conditions of the upper extremity.

Dr. Pater is currently involved with ongoing research and has authored and published manuscripts in peer-reviewed orthopedic journals. He has been a presenter at national and international meetings, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Combined Meeting of the American and Japanese Hand Societies.
